Project Description

The goal of this project was to improve the look, finish, and even the atmosphere of this kitchen. With the addition of a high-counter sitting area, improved lighting quality, and a lower, private sitting area, this space has gone from a kitchen/storage area to a cozy break room fit for anyone. There are wall outlets at every seat to allow for the charging of laptops and smartphones while on break.

All the finishes were chosen deliberately. The contrast of the dark green of the counter and the light green of the walls mixes well with the light wood finish of the cabinets and the baseboard. We also decided on white seating elements to create a contrast to the black appliances. Finally, the bright red of the backsplash provides a nice break form and accent to the rest of the space.
