W.L. French, one of New England’s leading site excavation firms, engaged PionArch for branding and interior design services for a 10,000 sf office space, including furniture, finish and color selection, renderings and materials boards. We had worked closely with the client as well as Design-Build Company – Connolly Brothers to make sure the design meets the budget set for construction.

W.L. French is a family business and the goal of the project was to create a comfortable, warm, welcoming “second home” for the family. They hoped to bring some of the memories of time spent with family at Lake Winnipesaukee, the nature, the vintage style in combination with the industrial and conservative style into the New England office space.

The idea of classic and “less is more” is what we strived for. The process for the interior design of the space entailed conceptual reflection on tying the company mission and its culture. The goal of the entryway was to include brand identity, rustic feel, machinery as part of design, and a sense of beach or lake.

Project Outcome

PionArch provided materials boards with recommended furniture, finishes, and colors for the office renovation, as well as plans for each of the required rooms. The PionArch team successfully captured the firm’s essence, integrating the industrial and conservative style with nature, and a warm, welcoming environment.
