Remodel Project Description

The goal of this kitchen remodel was to reimagine 1960’s style into a modern, desirable, clean and bright functional space. The second part of the project was to change a powder room into a modern accessible bathroom for aging in place family members.

Remodel Project Plan

Our clients sought minimalistic, modern kitchen white cabinets that offer lots of powerful features to organize accessories. The plan was to enlarge windows to double casement windows that offered a view into the backyard. Simple porcelain floor tiles and full wall bathroom tiles were appropriate for practical reasons. We took our clients with us to pick tiles, plumbing fixtures and accessories, as well as countertop for the kitchen. After creating a full set of drawings and specifications for the project, the contracting team was ready to execute the project seamlessly.

Remodel Project Results

Both our design and construction team delivered our clients a beautiful, modern kitchen and bathroom design. Large casement windows bring the outdoors in, providing our clients with a connection to nature, no matter where in the kitchen they are. The original half bath is now completely renovated to reflect the modern European style. The bathroom includes ADA compliant accessories like a curbless walk-in shower and grab bars.

Remodel Challenges

The original kitchen design featured a L-shape with outdated appliances and two windows that took up most of the wall space, making it a challenge to design an aesthetically pleasing storage solution that didn’t seem cramped. Our team proposed multiple ideas for spatial layout plans that would meet our clients’ lifestyle needs and bring more natural light to the space. The bathroom now offers plenty of storage space and barrier-free design.
